Hey you got a good start going there, are you going to KONG the frame at the seat rail? I'm just waiting for DONK to come home next week, he thinks
he's going to relax, but he will help me r/r the motor in the HOGEATER(KZ1000) and put the motor in the ridgid frame.

Yeah man, those are some high$$ Ness knock-off struts. Seriously, ya did a great job on the struts, they look great and hold my ass off the wheel pretty good.
I'm hopin to hit the pond for a coupla hours in the morning, then maybe I can paint the top end tomorrow afternoon.

AW- actually it's a CB750 DOHC. The tank was a $3 egay find, but it fits pretty good.
I hope to have the engine repainted and back together by the weekend. Will post some more pics then. Thanks ya'll. |

I'don't remember what the dude said it came off of. I got it like 3 or 4 years ago and lost it at Max's for awhile. I had forgotten all about till
Max reminded me. The inside is pretty shitty, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it. We'll try some por-15 or kreem or somethin and see. Most
of the rest of the bike is an 81. Scored it from Xnavylfr here on the board. Stick around man, there are some real good dudes here.

no doubt about it man .i'm here for the haul.check out my bike it's in the gallery here.not to much done to her yet cept the lowering blocks and drag
pipes. i have that same tank as stated earlier if you can hold off till the end of the season it's yours for shipping.only thing wrong with it is the
petcock leaked so i siliconed it up only full on no reserve or off.and a bad emblem bondo job to fill in the spots where the emblems were.if you want it at
seasons end let me know .inside the tank is great,no rust to speak of and no leaks in the tank itself. later aws

Cool, thanks man. This tank sounds like a 10-pound salt-shaker. I'm sure BikerDave has some ideas to get it right.
I scored junked CB550 a while back. The motor is screwed but the frame and front-end looked pretty good. The 4-4 Kerker exhaust didn't look too bad either. Just worked out a deal on the Horse board for a clean running motor and a pair of wheels for $50, so I'm picking them up in a couple of weeks. Should be pretty cool, I hope. |

hey ridin i was looking at work today , and i found this stuff we sell called rust-sol , it is supposed to be a dip for rusted parts , but i bet it would do a
great job on the inside of that tank , its $8.99 for a 32 oz bottle . i think mabey 2 of em and plug up the holes in the tank and treat it like a martini
shaker for a few minutes every hour or so and the next day it should be clean as a whistle on the inside . then its just rinse and treat with por 15 or kreem
and its done .
